Mike’s influence on my life over the last nine years has been foundational. Mike has been the primary architect of my discipleship, walking beside me through every peak and trough. Mike didn't just offer platitudes; he spoke to me with the candor of a brother and the wisdom of a father. He guided me to find true comfort in my identity as a child of God, teaching me to view the world through the Lens of the Word rather than trying to force the Word to fit the perspective of the world. He is a man of rare integrity whose actions consistently reflect his words.

My time being guided in discipleship by Mike was an exceptional experience. His heart for discipleship was evident across the multiple months we spent together, and God used his ministry to mold me more like Christ.I entered with gaps in understanding as well as patterns of sin, and the intensive work together left me more equipped for a life more in line with God’s design for a life that honors Him.

It is through brothers such as Mike that God has used in my life to teach and exhort me on the importance of living for the glory of Christ Jesus. In our time spent together over the course of about three years, I have gleaned much from Mike’s teaching and example as it relates to pursuing Christlikeness and biblical manhood. Listening to him and watching him in the areas of being a husband, father, and faithful servant to the local church spurred me on as a younger brother to him.
